Pelleve Skin Tightening
Pelleve is the latest FDA approved dermatological procedure for skin tightening purpose that aims at treating the skin wrinkles safely and effectively without going under the knife. By its leading radioactive technology, Pelleve heats and breaks down the old collagen in the deeper layers of the skin, without interrupting the texture of the superficial dermal tissue. This heat produced by the Pelleve system makes the skin tighten and contract. As a result of which, new collagen formation takes place and the skin rejuvenates in this way.
While being treated, patients may sense slight warm sensation at every point of the skin where the Pelleve system points at. The best thing about this skin tightening process is that, you can continue following your normal routine right after the treatment ends.
Pelleve system may leave you with minor side effects, such as burning sensation during the process and redness, which may last from 3-5 days up to several weeks.
Thermage
What does thermage procedure stand for ?
It is a dermatological process that makes use of heat energy for smoothening the skin texture and contour, not only of the face, but also of the overall body, providing you a new, young refreshing look. Thermage procedure carries a benefit along with it that it requires no downtime and you can continue with your routine right after the procedure ends.
How does it work ?
Thermage procedure involves the use of a hand piece with a smooth flat tip that safely delivers its unique monopolar capacitive radiofrequency technology into the deeper layers of skin tissue. This heat burns down the existing old collage, making room for the formation of newer collagen fibers.
How long does the thermage procedure last ?
The time consumed by this dermatological procedure varies according to the size and area of the skin involved. However, average time taken by thermage procedure is around 20 minutes to 2 hours.
What to expect from this process of skin tightening ?
Talking about the brighter side, you can expect a smooth, even and younger looking skin. However, as a part of side effects, you may feel slight burning sensation and may be redness also, which goes away soon.
How many sessions of the treatment do I require ?
Mostly, a single session can suffice. However, depending upon the age and the skin condition, a second session may be required three to six months following the first one.
How long shall the results last ?
Thermage procedure stimulates the production of newer collagen for at least six months after the session. The results may last for several years, which highly depend upon the patient’s natural system of aging.
Is there a downtime after the treatment ?
No, there isn’t any downtime required. You can resume your normal activities once you are done with the treatment.
Does the radiation involved in the treatment hurt ?
A slight burning sensation may be felt during the procedure which is caused by the heat produced to breakdown the worn off collagen.
Perlane and Restylane
What is Perlane ?
Perlane is a substance used in cosmetic treatments like softening wrinkles and facial folds, and is an inject-able dermal filler. It’s made from NASHA gel i.e non-animal stabilized hyaluronic acid. Since hyaluronic acid is found in skin and other tissues, a skin test isn’t required before using the Perlane filler.
Duration of Perlane ?
Perlane filler treatment will last for 6 to 12 months. Hyaluronic acid depletes from the body due to aging but the hyaluronic acid in the Perlane supplements the body’s natural supply.
How is Perlane Used ?
Perlane is used to reduce wrinkles, scars, skin depressions on the face and improve the contour of the face. Since Perlane contains higher concentration of hyaluronic acid than Restylane, it is used in deeper folds of the skin as filler.
Perlane is also used with Botox Cosmetics, since it is responsible for neutralizing the muscles that cause wrinkles.
